Like a knight to the rescue, Julian Soler, 17, of West Broward High School, is leading a good-news publicity charge and he's doing it dressed in shining armor.

Organizers hope the event not only will transport the modern school built on the fringe of the Everglades back in time to medieval Europe but also forge an annual tradition in the school's inaugural year.

Food such as turkey drumsticks will be sold, games plucked from the Middle Ages will be played and student mimes, minstrels and thespians more familiar to those who lived 500 years ago will entertain at the campus at 500 NW 209th Ave. in far-western Pembroke Pines.

''Every student club is in on it. Culinary kids will cook. The band and drama clubs will do their thing,'' Julian said. ``Even the football team will do their part -- the dunk tank.''

The students in the art department came up with the event's jovial jester logo…

''We studied demographics and identified the target market. Now we're reaching out to the entire community and getting all ages involved,'' Julian said….

I'm participating in this renaissance faire as a stage actor, singing memeber, and walk-around charactor.

I will be doing the first section of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged), otherwise known as the "Romeo and Juliet" section.
Along with a trio song.

We have a great thign planned here with much involvment and audience involvment, and is going to be amazing!
